How do I go about to change my water pump for a 1997 caravan, 3 liter engine?

REMOVING



1. Disconnect negative battery cable

2. Drain cooling system

3. Remove drive belts. Remove timing belt covers and timing belt.

4. Remove water pump mounting bolts

5. Separate water pump from water inlet pipe %26amp; remove water pump



INSTALLING



1. Clean gasket and O-ring surfaces on water pump and water pipe inlet tube.

2. Wet a new O-ring with water and install it on the inlet pipe

3. Install a new gasket on the water pump

4. Install the pump inlet opening over the water pipe and press until pipe is completely inserted into the pump housing.

5. Install water pump to block mounting bolts and tighten to 20 ft lbs

6. Install timing belt and timing belt covers. install and adjust the drive belts.

7. Reconnect negative battery cable.

8. Refill cooling system w/ 50/50 mixture of ethylene glycol antifreeze and water.

9. Run engine %26amp; check for leaks. Top off coolant if necessary
