How do you change water in a water cooled PC?

What is the safest method of removing all the water in a water pump in order to refill it with a fresh mix. Please no answers saying ';why would you do that?'; or ';you do not need to change that ever';.

Simply purge your system. Have 2 buckets - one full of clean water, the other empty, disconnect and drain your reservoir, then stick the intake hose into the full bucket, the exhaust hose into the empty one, and turn the pump on. Flush the entire bucket full of water through the system, then refill your reservoir and purge the air out of the system like when you built it the first time.
